School Swimming Programs

The benefits of enrolling in our School Swimming Programs are many.

  • Our indoor heated facility is suitability for year-round swimming tuition - an important consideration for our local schools when it comes to planning the school swimming sessions and swimming lessons.
  • We can take 120 children at a time, assisting school to save money on bus and transport costs.
  • We are swimming professionals and we get results in our school swimming. We guarantee it.
  • We can offer discounts and concessions for our off peak usage which allows parents to take advantage of these school based swimming sessions.
  • We have been involved in providing learn to swim and swimming tuition in Logan to schools for over 16 years.
  • All children are instructed by only Qualified (Austswim) and highly experienced swimming instructors and qualified swimming coaches.

This year we have implemented “a code of conduct amongst our swimming teachers and have made it mandatory for them to have their blue cards on display at all times whilst teaching in our school based swimming programs.

We take our School Swimming Programs seriously & boast that our team of learn to swim instructors is second to none here in SEQ. Some of the team members have been involved in the swimming industry for over 20 years, most though have been instructing for up to 10 years.

Our junior swimming instructors are partnered with these experienced learn to swim teachers, ensuring your students receive the very best tuition possible. Updated copies of resumes and qualifications are kept on file on the premises where you are most welcome to study their qualifications and experience at any time.

Indoor  heated swimming pools,  all year round swimming

Gould Adams Park Aquatic Centre is a state-of-the-art aquatic facility, able to provide schools with more choices and flexibility for their school swimming programs. Even the most skeptical parent will be pleased by its indoor swimming pool’s controlled temperatures for water and atmosphere.

Gould Adams Park Aquatic Centre is Logan’s most popular pool for successful swim school program.  The facility can be utilized 12 months of the year without being affected by adverse weather conditions.  This means during the cooler months during term 2 and 3, our Logan swimming pool can be still employed for swimming sessions; which then allows us to offer more resources and swimming pool space. All children are required to wear proper swimming attire including a swimming cap and we recommend goggles during their swimming sessions.

 Credentials

We are a fully-endorsed swim school for the Royal Life Saving Society, Austswim and Swim Australia. Our internationally acclaimed Swim & Survive swimming Programs ensures children of all levels develop on a pathway towards a swimming skills with a sound sense of water safety, swimming & survival skills.

Class Sizes

This year we are proud to announce two different options for school swimming ratios

Option One

One fully qualified swimming teacher to 8 students. This ratio exceeds the Australian standard, however has recognized may of the school swimmers we see have not been introduced to the basic skills of swimming and are not competent in the water. SO therefore smaller classes will greatly assist their development and allow these students to catch up with their swimming and aquatic skills quickly.

Option  Two

Our class sizes are kept to the Australian standards of approximate 1:12 ratio (instructor to children).Although, where possible, there are times this may vary with assistance or junior teachers under training with the smaller swimming classes for non-swimmers and children with special requirements.

Instructors Consistency

Where schools are coming to us weekly over the duration of the term, we are able to guarantee a consistent attendance from our swimming instructor’s (apart fm the odd times where an instructor may be unwell).

However if a school chooses to come in a block sessions Monday to Friday, we may not be able to supply the same swimming instructors and may have some substitute swimming instructors on various days.

Giggles Swim School - Gould Adams Park Aquatic Centre’s   “School Swimming  Program Fees”

It is important to schools to make the distinction between us and other swimming organizations in the school scwimming programs. We do not use unqualified or inexperienced staff nor will we ever compromise our quality or safety services for lower charges. However, we are well aware of your parents and the schools financial restraints. Hence you will find we offer highly competitive prices with value. We offer a full money back guarantee to parents who children attend the full swimming program and have options for concessions during the off peak terms.

Please note, children must wear swimming caps and proper swimming attire at all times!

Parents attendance

We welcome parents to come along, watch our swimming sessions and to fully support and encourage their children provided they do not disrupt the sessions. However, it is important for parents to realize water safety and swimming skills are not learnt overnight and they should have realistic expectations for the course of these swimming sessions.

Program Content

Normal sessions are 40 minutes in duration, depending on your schools timetable and bus availability.

All Children are graded on their ability and placed in appropriate classes. Children do have the opportunity to progress to higher groups provided our instructors feel they are capable. (Interference from parents will not be tolerated especially if unrealistic demands are having a negative effect or placing a child in danger!)

Our teaching style ensures maximum participation. Children are not left standing on the side for long periods, whilst encouragement & support is given throughout the swimming sessions to all children.

Our school swimming programs are a combination of

·         Water Safety,

·         Learn to Swim,

·         Stroke Correction &

·         Survival and sometimes rescue skills.

For the stronger swimmers we may also incorporate formalized squad sessions, developing & improving fitness, strength and stamina, including some other Aquatic activities.

Our professional staff strives to cater for your students' needs; therefore all our programs are evaluated annually to ensure a high standard is maintained and improved year after year. As in previous years, we are determined to ensure that our swimming program operates smoothly and all your children receive the very best service we can provide.

We welcome, principal, p & c‘s, interested teachers and parents to view our swimming and water safety programs, school swimming services and indoor heated facilities at any time. “We know we have by far the best quality and delivery of school swimming programs in Logan!”  We even guarantee it!

Life saving skills to last a lifetime!

Unbelievable Savings to Parents

At times some parent’s perception of “value” can be slightly misconstrued.

Therefore we have included this paragraph and urge schools to promote the value in this service to their parents.

As an example, a normal entry to the pool is $3.50, a normal ˝ swimming lesson is $14.50, a swim cap is $4. Compared to $7.50 perk or $6.50 off-peak in our school program.

Therefore children attending an “8 session school program” are saving over $80.00 (almost 50% discount) & receiving an extra 1 hour and 20 minutes of additional instruction!

Dear Kerre 17 September 1999

On behalf of my staff, and more importantly the students who attended your swimming classes, I wish to convey my thanks for a job well done. Reports related to the manner in which your classes were organized have been relayed to me in a most positive manner.

I have also viewed your system of certification and applaud you for your actions in this regard. Please accept my thanks in the knowledge that the efforts you have put into your organization and planning has been justified.

Congratulations, Brian Clark - Principal Woodridge North

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN

I have been taking my grades 1 and 3 through Kerre Burley’s Learn to swim programs for the past four years. I have always taken the children in the winter months as the program is less congested and the instructors find it is more convenient time of the year for this age group.

The weather is not an issue as the children get changed in the indoor pool enclosure so they are not exposed to the cold air. The indoor pools temperature is far better suited to the smaller children and the nervous beginners. I thoroughly recommend this time of the year for your infant programs.
