Gould Adams Park Aquatic Centre – Our fun facility

Our indoor HEATED Aquatic facilities areas protected from the elements (no need for sunscreen) with state of the air temperature control on

both water and air temperatures. We boast three specially designed swimming pools including:

· Toddler’s pool,

· Teaching pool,

· Competitive 25metre pool (all with varying temperatures for selective purposes.)

The Kingston’s aquatic facility Host 2 outdoor seating areas, one fully equipped Kiosk and the ideal setting for a family day out at the pool

Parents can relax, kids can run wild in a safe yet controlled aquatic environment in not one but three of our indoor swimming pool.

Part of our philosophy at Giggles swim school is for our crew members to be constantly up-skilled and learning,

as both professional and personal development guarantees growth and successes on all levels.

Whilst we are very humbled by members of our crews loyalty over the years, we also have a tremendous list of

past crew members who we have mentored, and moved on. Some we are so proud of their development.

Phoebe and Ryan are definitely worthier of a mention however. Phoebe has gone on to know work with troubled youth,

Whilst Ryan has become an ambulance officer.

Captains

Kathi Britton executive board member/ centre manager.

We are extremely lucky to have Kathi as our leader. Voted the 2007 “employee of the year “by the crew, she brings over 18 years industry experience to our centre. Kathi is also an industry lecturer and uses her unique and funny personality to mentor, coach and direct the crew. Hobbies martial arts / jewellery making , favorite Pastime catching up with friends and family, Person she’d dream of dining with “Brad Pitt”

Mere Haenga executive board member/ reception manager.

Mere is simply awesome; she is the gel that keeps us all together. She is responsible for all the administration and operations of the centre and does an absolutely fabulous job, always going beyond what is expected of her. Mere has also been awarded “crew member of the year” for not one but two years running. 2005 & 2006. Her hobbies include cooking eating walking, favorite Pastime Reading and gardening, Person she’d dream of dining with Colleen McCullough.

Core Crew

Kylie Latham mobile swimming team leader/ systems co-ordiantor/ playmate (Austswim Swimming) Presenter and Aqua Instructor. Kyle is probably the most versatile of us all, a trainer, a teacher an aquarobics instructor. One of the most popular mobile teachers there is nothing Kylie can’t do. As systems co-ordiantor Kylies ensures our programs and operations run like clockwork. She always is their to help out with all other facts of our centre including Kiosk, reception & marketing. Honestly we don’t know what we would do without her. Kylie is our mobile co-ordinator and come summer is very very busy. Hobbies Tennis/basketball/swimming , favorite Pastime spending time with my kids & cooking , Person she’d dream of dining with “ Mel Gibson & Harrison Ford”

Dale White – aquarobics instructor/party pal/duty manager. Dale is our legend, our little energized battery bunny. From pool deck proposals to dressing up as yahoo serious. Nobody knows for sure which planet he is from; there are just too many positive vibes. But don’t take our word for it, come down and meet him for yourself or throw caution to the wind and do one of Dales Aquarobics sessions. As a person trainer dale also looks after people individually and often has many of the crew as his personal clients. He’s Hobbies all sports, music, movies , Favorite Pastime friends, socializing, traveling Person he’d dream of dining with Angelina jolie

Brent White Lifeguard/kiosk operator/ computer wiz/playmate (Austswim swimming teacher). Brent is our true white knight, from computer problems to red flag incidents. Brent is always there for us. He’s has an It degree yet remains working for us as a swim teachers, cleaner and lifeguard. It’s often Brent who gets us out of tricky situation with our computers. He never cracks under pressure although often needs help getting out of bed. Truly we don’t know where we’d be without him. Hobbies computers, sports & fishing, favorite Pastime sleeping, Person he’d dream of dining with “the veronicas”

Sean burley the pool presence. The youngest life-guard, come manager in the world. Growing up around an Aquatic centre has its advantages, just ask Sean. He knows the rules and isn’t afraid to tell patrons. Hence at just 6 he has his own life guard shirt and flag if he needs it. His favorite cartoon is Sponge Bob Square Pants.

Very valued crew

At Giggles Swim School many major decisions on operations, training and even marketing are discussed and implemented by our crew members. The success of our centre lies squarely with these talented individuals. We couldn’t do without them.

Mara Kiosk manager/ cleaning/ future playmate. In every organization, there is always one happy cheerful person that brightens everyone’s day, and Mara is that person. As well as that unique quality she makes the best hamburgers in Logan and keeps our pool looking spick and span. Mara is training to become a playmate (learn to swim instructor) and she is going to be brilliant. We can’t wait. Her favorite pastime – shopping – hobbies are shopping and meeting people and the person she would most like to have dinner with are “The all blacks”

Jesse Davis Playmate (Austswim Swim Teacher)/Referral Officer/ Receptionist extraordinaire. Jess is an exceptional swimming instructor specializing in the baby and toddler areas. Include her cheerful efficient manner and we love having her also as our morning receptionist. Her favorite person in jesses life is her son Zack. We lost Jesse to the childcare industry last year but are so happy she returned. There isn’t anything Jess cant do, as referral officer Jess meets and greets everyone who joins our fabulous swimming program and ensures they get well looked after. “The person she would like to have dinner with is Dixie Chicks. My hobbies are dancing, writing poetry and spending time with my family.”

Vicky Barron Playmate (Austswim Swimming Teacher)/ Crew manager/ receptionist in training

Even though Vicky is a new member of the crew, she has immediately taken on the crew manager role. This is because nearly everyone Loves Vicky, she came to us as a parent with her kids swimming in lessons and how lucky were we. Vicky has skills and abilities that we are very appreciative of She’s a little human dynamo, a fabulous intuitive teachers that has slotted into our program really weal . Vicky a great team player and an absolute pleasure to have in the crew. We think she made a great career choice. Vicky has assisted us with marketing programs and is currently training up to become just a fabulous on the receptions

Jenny Playmate (Austswim swimming teacher)/ Disabled swimming Instructor Austswim Swimming instructor, specialist disabled teacher./ School Vacation Coordinator . Party pal. Jenny will work anytime at moments notice! Jenny has come to us from Canberra and has brought years of experience and passion with working with the disasbled and special needs swimmers. Jenny also conducts parties for us and again has just slotted into our team culture. Hobbies are bike riding, camping reading. The person she’d want to go to dinner with is Louise Savage

Dianne Wells Playmate (Austswim Swimming Instructor) -Di has been with us for over 12 years and like a fine wine just keeps getting better and better. We all look forward to her fun squad sessions and as the late night teacher. It’s a pleasure to catch up with her at crew trainings. Hobbies Scuba diving/ all sports , favorite Pastime movies and reading, Person she’d dream of dining with “ Leigh Mathews”

Cilla Haenga Playmate ( Austswim swimming teacher)

Cilla is one of the finest swim teachers in Brisbane and how lucky for us, she is our weekend warrior. Already holding a full time job, Cilla does class on Saturday and Sundays. We all look forward to Miss Cilla and truly are blessed she chooses to work with us each and every Saturday & Sunday. As she is another kiwi, I dare say the person she would have dinner with would be those silly all blacks again.

Jolene Kiosk/ Reception under training,/ party pal/ Playmate(Austswim Instructor) Jolene is our trainee, who does a fantastic job and is learning and picking up things in so many areas. Under the watchful eye of her mum and her aunty. We are very proud of her efforts to date and know she has a very secure future in this industry due to her ability to “flow like water”. At this time we are not sure who Jolene would like to have tea with, I think she would rather go out clubbing.
